We're a creative audio production company in business for over 20 years.  Some would say Sound Post is a recording studio, but we do much more.  Here's a listing & some details of what we do.

• Creative Audio Production - That's what we do.   View samples of our work on our homepage.

• Audio Post-Production - That's an industry term for making the final project sound great.   Many of our projects arrive here with no sound at all.   We'll cast and produce the narration (non-union & union talent); write & produce the music (or draw from our extensive on-site music library); add and create sound effects; then mix and deliver the final production.   Audio post-production is a balance of art, science, talent and skill - and we love it.

• Sound For TV & Radio Advertising -  Listen to the radio or watch TV and you'll hear our work.  We work with advertising agencies and directly with local and national companies of any size.

• Sound For Film -   "Sound is seventy-five percent of the film."; "Sound is six-fifths of a film";  "When you produce a film, make sure you invest in sound."   These are just some of the quotes from film producers at the 2008 Waterfront Film Festival.   At Sound Post, we collaborate with many film producers - for indie features, documentaries, short subject and student works.   We do mixing, ADR (dialogue replacement), sound design, location sound correction, dialogue editing, narration and foley.  Are you a filmmaker?   We'd love to help you tell your story.

• Original Music Composition - Sound Post is a creative environment with the tools for composing for advertising, motion picture, software titles and recording artists.   We draw on the skills of talented composers, writers and musicians from around the country. • Mixing & Mastering, 5:1 Surround - We mix both in stereo and 5:1 surround.

• Voice Casting, Recording & ADR - We have an acoustically treated booth dedicated to recording voice overs - and it sounds great.  We'll also record on location.  Voices recorded by Sound Post have been heard the world over in commercials, on the net, in business presentations and in software titles.  Our online talent pool assists with casting.  We've recorded voices for CBS (Scott Weil), The Cartoon Network (Teen Aqua Hunger Force), NPR, The PGA, Warner Brothers (actor Edward Herrmann for ‘The Gilmore Girls'),  School Zone Publishing, Tantor Media, Random House, The E! Network, MTV, VH1 and others for projects including narration, podcasts, radio & TV voice overs, audiobooks, and non-traditional media.     

• Sound Design - Our extensive sound effects and sample libraries are networked to our Pro Tools workstations.  This means great sounds that are quickly accesible.

• Location Recording - Our engineers can go ‘on location' for recording interviews, films, sound effects, and sound design.  Shotgun, wireless lavalier mics, field mixers, and hard drive recorders are used.

• Translations - Sound Post has a network of professional and international voice talent, producing recorded translations in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, French (European & Canadian), German, Portuguese, British and many other languages.  See our Translations page to learn more.
